💬 V&Me Expert Advice

You're on a great path already!

It’s wonderful to hear your little one is already enjoying home-cooked meals – that’s a fantastic start to building healthy eating habits.

V&Me meals are specifically designed to build on this by introducing a wide variety of flavours and textures beyond what would be possible at home to support their growth and broaden their palate during this key developmental period.

If they take well to the meals, consider adding a 1-2 extra days to your delivery schedule to make the most of this golden window when they’re most open to trying new tastes.

Top tip💡

Keep in mind that It takes around 28 days for new habits to stick. Stick with it and you’ll likely see some exciting positive changes in your baby’s eating habits soon!

You're making a great decision!

Choosing V&Me is a really positive step – especially when your little one’s eating feels a bit more challenging. It can be tough doing it all on your own, and supermarket options don’t always make it easy to build those healthy habits.

If a few meals get pushed away at first, that’s perfectly normal. Developing a love for new flavours takes time, and you're not alone – we’re here to support you through it exposing them to new flavours and tastes in a low-pressure environment.

While they’re getting used to the meals, you might find it helpful to look ahead at the next week's menu and pick delivery days with dishes they’re more likely to enjoy – it’s a gentle way to ease them in.

I'm glad you've made the switch!

Due to the overly sweet flavour profile of supermarket pouches, babies who have taken a liking to these can sometimes take a bit longer to get used to liking more bitter, savoury flavours that you would typically find on the V&Me menu.

So if your baby doesn't instantly take to their first couple of meals, remember that this is totally normal.

Luckily babies are fast adapters, and with a bit of perseverance, their palate will develop to like these healthy new tastes!

Top tip💡

We recommend taking a look at what's on the coming week's menu and choosing the days where there is a familiar meal along with a a new dish they might not have tried before. It's a great way to ease them into the new flavours! Did you know that V&Me’s baby meals are carefully designed with just the right amount of protein to meet your baby’s needs, while prioritising the healthy fats and carbohydrates essential for their rapid growth and development?
