Clapham is home to one of V&Me's largest concentrations of subscribing families, and it's a natural fit: some of the best public green space in south London on the doorstep, a genuine cafe culture built around Clapham Old Town and The Pavement, and a real community of parents with young children. Our Battersea kitchen is around two miles north, so meals are cooked fresh each morning and delivered to Clapham doorsteps before 10am.

Right in the middle of Clapham Common, this is the walk-with-baby, park-the-buggy, coffee-outside cafe. Dog-friendly, indoor and outdoor seating, and live music on some days. Genuinely one of the best mid-walk stops in Clapham.

Brew & Barrel

36A Old Town, London SW4 0LB

Old Town all-day cafe and brunch spot with a relaxed feel, open from 7am. Strong coffee, unpretentious food, and staff who don't mind buggies. A regular for local parents.

Megan's Clapham Old Town

55-57 The Pavement, London SW4 0JQ

The Mediterranean-styled Megan's location on The Pavement, opposite Clapham Common. Family-friendly, calm mid-week mornings, and one of the more spacious rooms in the area if you need to park a buggy comfortably.

Three parks for a walk with the buggy

Because sometimes the best thing you can do all day is get outside.

Clapham Common

220 acres of open common with a bandstand cafe in the middle, ponds, and easy paths for buggy walks. Perfect for a picnic in warmer weather, and connected by cycle path all the way through.

Battersea Park

A short walk north from most of Clapham, and easily the most family-friendly park in south London. Play areas, the children's zoo, riverside walks, and cafes throughout. Worth the trip.

Wandsworth Common

West of Clapham, quieter than the Common on weekends, and better for a peaceful buggy walk if you want space. Ducks, bridges over the train line, and a decent playground on the south side.
