Fresh, generous brunches and very friendly service, open from 7.30am on weekdays. A reliable weekday stop between naps.

Wandsworth Park

Right on the Thames between Putney Bridge Road and the river, with a flat loop path, big central lawn and shady trees along the water. One of the prettiest buggy walks in south-west London.

Putney Heath

Four hundred acres of heath and woodland rolling into Wimbledon Common, criss-crossed with trails. Wilder than a park, and wonderful once your toddler is walking.

Putney Lower Common

A quieter patch of green towards Barnes with a well-kept playground and plenty of space for a picnic blanket, minus the weekend crowds of the bigger commons.
