Professor Alastair Sutcliffe is Professor of General Paediatrics at UCL’s Institute of Child Health and an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
He has decades of experience in children’s health, with expertise spanning general paediatrics, neurodevelopment, child development, feeding difficulties, growth, immunisations and early-life health outcomes.
Alongside his clinical work, Professor Sutcliffe is a clinician scientist whose research focuses on improving children’s health, including long-running work on early-life interventions, paediatric medicines and the health and development of children born after IVF and other fertility treatments. UCL notes that he has been studying paediatric outcomes of IVF since 1993.
At V&Me, Professor Sutcliffe advises on our approach to child health, helping ensure our meals and guidance are grounded in robust paediatric expertise and support the healthy development of babies and young children.
