About this dish

No added salt or sugar

Flavour comes from herbs, spices and the ingredients themselves.

Our banana loaf is one of the boosters: a smaller, soft finger food that comes alongside the day's two main meals. Babies from 7 months use it to practise picking up food, exploring texture and feeding themselves.

We bake it with organic wholemeal spelt flour from Doves Farm, which adds a gentle nutty flavour and fibre. Jo, our paediatric dietitian, sets the fibre level so it suits small tummies and leaves room for everything else they need.

How to choose a texture

Questions parents ask

Is banana loaf a good finger food for babies?

Yes. Our loaf is soft and moist, so babies from 7 months can hold a slice and gum it. It comes as a booster with the day's two main meals.

How do I serve the banana and spelt loaf?

Serve it at room temperature. For a softer treat, warm it in a preheated oven at 180C for 3 to 5 minutes. For babies under 2, add a dash of water and wrap it in foil first.

Is there a dairy-free banana loaf?

Yes. Our dairy-free and egg-free version uses oat milk and leaves out the egg. Add your child's dietary needs to your account and we send the version that suits them.
