About this dish

Flavour comes from herbs, spices and the ingredients themselves.

Our ginger chicken noodles bring the flavours of a takeaway stir fry to a plate made for little ones. Tender chicken, rice noodles, Chinese cabbage, carrot, peppers and bamboo shoots are tossed with ginger, garlic and a little Chinese five spice.

Noodles are brilliant for self-feeding practice. For babies under 2, shred the chicken into smaller pieces when you reheat it.

A note from Jo Lenz, paediatric dietitian

From Chef Kwesi

We balance flavour and nutrition by using a carefully measured amount of low-sodium soy sauce to get that authentic taste. Jo, our paediatric dietitian, sets exactly how much goes into our noodles.

One dish, every stage

Our main meals come in the texture your child is ready for, and you can switch any time from your account.

Smooth

Blended for babies starting out on solids.

Lumpy

Soft lumps to practise chewing.

Bite-sized

Soft pieces for little fingers and self-feeding.

Toddler

A bigger portion for children aged 1 to 4.

How to choose a texture

Questions parents ask

Is soy sauce OK for babies?

Babies need very little salt, so we use a carefully measured amount of low-sodium soy sauce, set by our paediatric dietitian. That gives the noodles their flavour without the salt of a takeaway.

How do I reheat the chicken noodles?

Microwave for 60 seconds (baby) or 90 seconds (toddler). For babies under 2, shred the chicken into smaller pieces and reheat on the hob with a lid on at low heat for 4 minutes.

Is there a vegetarian version?

Yes. The vegetarian version uses tofu with the same noodles and vegetables. Both versions are dairy-free and egg-free.
